Dream, Believe, and Make it happen!!

Do you know the power of love?

Many people believe that every single thing has a power as well as a prayer.

God is good all the time. Yes, I believe it. One example of this is I will explain it below.

I had a dream since I was in Junior High School, to support my favourite athletes directly in Senayan. I always imagine when I can hold a stcik to make noise as a form of my support. Shouting and screaming with other people who have same willingness to support Indonesia’s team in Badminton Champion, Djarum Open. I always keep my dream in my heart and in my mind. Also, I reckon it, imagine that it would be happen someday.

Last week, 17 June 2012, pricesly, my dream came true. I sat in a podium and supported Indonesia’s team. It was very crowded when Liliana Natsir and Tantowi smashed the ball. The opponent was Thailand, at that time. Finally, Indonesia’s team was lost, we gave all of our support though.

For the single man category, Indonesia won. Simon Santoso was the winner through China. I could feel the atmosphere that we sat together and shouthed. He was so cool and the way he played was awasome. Some public figures also gave their support for Indonesia.
Well, this is one of my dream and I have other dreams that waited for me to reach. I want to take picture and sing together with Agnes Monica, I admire her willingness to reach her goals. Giving charity for poor people in my village. Going around the world for peace mission. Taking picture in Great Wall, China, New York, and Eiffel Tower in France.

LIVE TO LOVE

It is a nice story, I think. Hopefully, you can get messages after reading this.

Yes, this is a message for us while we live in this world. This morning, when I went to Morning Star Academy, I realized that for some reasons I forgot to love other people. That’s why it seemed to me that I was reminded for second times.

Live to love as it is described as bed death relationship. By this I mean that when we lay in bed, who will sit near us to accompany. Are there our parents, husband, children, extended family or our friends? It true that when we make a relationship, we cannot avoid some conflicts that may arise because it involves emotional of every one. To make it clear, children who have different opinion with their parents about deciding university for their future.

To make relationship, sometimes there is envy. For instance, when neighbors buy new property, we feel jealous because we have worked all the day but we still cannot buy as what our neighbors buy. It is the difficult part of making relationship. It is easy to criticize people’s negativity, but to make self evaluation, it is not easy. Therefore, we have to know the requirements of loving.

Love always protects

Love always trusts

Love always hopes

And Love always perserves.

BECAUSE LOVE NEVER FAILS!!!

There is a rejoice when we have faithfulness.

Happy loving each other!!!

ONE LIFE TO LIVE

This morning I went to church, Morning Star academy in Jakarta. As usual, there are some food hawkers along the road to the curch. I prefer morning service to afternoon service because there were no car fumes, the sun not too hot, and I can saw some flowers were glooming.

It was interesting because I found three main points when Pak Yahya (priest of the curch) gave speech. To live in this world we have to have these: wisely, purposely, and passionately. I always reckon how can I have these points in my life when troubles come. It is not easy as we think but as he told me that we have to keep our spirit in order to continue our next life. The everlasting life.

An inspiring illustration from him, when he went home he passed cemetery near his apartment. He thought about people’s life. By this I mean that the life of people is only divided into two parts. The first is when they were born and the second is when they die. And these parts are only separated by a line like a dash in the gravestone.

We have to imagine and muse, how far our life will go? How long will we live? Or have we done something meaningful while we live?

In conclusion, I would say that for some people life is not long. In other word, they have short time doing their activities when they life. Therefore, use the time wisely, purposely, and passionately. All thing that we have done anly for God’s glory. And find the purpose of our life.

nice story

BARBARA’S CLASS: cross culture study

It was facinating when I learnt cross culture with Barbara. The way she explained the meaning of culture to her student was well-organized, sometimes hillarious. For instance, when I learnt about the meaning of culture, she gave us a map of ice burg. It means that culture is really huge to explain. in particular area, culture cannot be seen due to the complex society. Therefore, some people may able to see culture as a part of society only such as traditional ceremony. In fact, culture also consists the way we behave and acknowledge what we see.

Barbara encouraged her student to use the range of vocabularies. She gave me both daily and academic vocabularies. It is interesting for me because vocabulary is essential to be known. If we do not know it, we will get difficulties to use the skills we learn: speaking, writing, listening and reading. The one that really exciting for me is “there is no motorbike weaving in and out of the traffic jam”. She gave us unique vocabulary which I never know before.

To remember all vocabularies and expression that she gave to me, I always up date my status on online networking by using these. My friends also gave feedback to correct the grammar and word form, or sometimes related to singular and plural (it is not easy you know).

Well, in conclusion, Barbara is a great teacher. She taought us enthusiastically and energetically. It was good because we as her student can copy her passion in learning something. Hopefully, I can implement all knowledge that I have learnt from her and to share these to you.

ART

ART
Music plays an important role in people’s live. Based on my experince, it is true that music affects people’s behaviour. For instance, by listening classical music, I tend to behave calmly when I face difficulties in doing my job or when I just want to relax. Also, classical music is a versatile one. By this I mean that this sort of music is useful in any situation such as formal or informal.
Personally, I would say that music has been taking essential part in my life. Even if I never craft it but I always try to use it and become a master on one musical instrument such as guitar. I always reckon how I can make a breakthrough in music field. When the time goes by, I realized that it is impossible for me to create it because I am not a kind of person who has excellent talent on it. In another word, I am feeble person in doing music. Therefore, there are two ways to appreciate the music. I learn how to play a flute better and confer the best performance when I did in music test last year.  Also I  really appreciate the musician.

My hometown, Kediri

MY LOVELY HOMETOWN, KEDIRI

Do you know Kediri? Emm, it may not too famous one as Surabaya or Jakarta. Kediri is a small city in East Java. The population is not too high. It is famous because of its traditional foods, historical places, and local tourism.
First of all, Kediri has many famous traditional foods such as pecel Kediri which well-known in some places out of the Kediri. Also, Tahu Kuning (Yellow tofu) which is produced in Pattimura street. There are some types of Tahu. For instance, Tahu Kuning, Tahu Bulat and another food that made of Tahu is Stick Tahu. Many people who come to this place always buy as a gift for their family or their friends.
Kediri has rich story about the past kingdom. Dewi Sekartaji is a famous one. She is a princess of Gajah Mada. Therefore, it is undoubted that Kediri has some historical places such as Dewi Sekartaji Swimming pool and statue of some kingdoms. Also, Kediri has a popular river, that is Brantas river. It divides Kediri to two, East Kediri and West Kediri.
Another factor that make Kediri famous is its local tourism. First is Poh Sarang Church. It is the biggest church in East Asia. It has a lane that shows Jesus’s step trhough the hill, named Cross Street. Second is SLG (Simpang Lima Gumul). It is an icon of Kediri with the huge building in the center of the road in East Kediri thus all people who pass east road can see this icon.
I really love Kediri, inspite of its culture, this city is not a melting pot city so there is no traffic  congestion in the main street. People can acces the public facilities easily and quickly.there are not many food hawkers on the street which may cause traffic jam as in other metropolitan cities.
Kediri has health environment. The air is so fresh because it nears Kelud Mountain (an active volcano mountain in East Java province). It has good system to cope with garbage problem. Moreover, the air is fresh due to a good system of the gutters. Water flows from the housing to the river through this gutter thus there will no flood when rainy season come. The number of cars is not big so there is no car fumes. Even though Kediri has a Gudang Garam smoke factory, the people are aware to cope with cigarette smoke.
I suggest that you go to Kediri because you will find many new experiences that you may not find in other places. If I can add one thing, the transportation is arrange systematically, there is no motorbike weaving in and out of the traffic. But I really hope that local government will allocate the fund for providing a cycle lanes to cut down on traffic.
